Advanced Automotive & RV
Wilmington auto shop with a 4.9 rating, handling RV inspections, oil changes and repairs.
North Carolina spreads from the Outer Banks to the Blue Ridge, and a rig that looks fine in a dealer lot can hide a wet roof or a tired generator. Twenty-five RV inspection outfits work across the state, averaging 4.4 stars, and plenty of them travel to you. I have paid for two pre-purchase inspections myself and walked away from one rig over a soft floor the seller never mentioned.

Truck and diesel shop in Cedar Grove, NC that also lists RV inspection among its services.
The list runs to 25 providers, and 11 of them are mobile, so the rig gets checked where it sits rather than at a shop three hours away. Of the 25, six hold NRVIA credentials, 8 advertise pre-purchase work specifically, and 6 combine certification with mobile service. Expect a roof and moisture check on anything used. Triad RV Repair, TJs RV, Premier RV Services and Inspections, and RV Pro Solutions all turn up in the top ratings. Moisture shows on three profiles, and that is the first thing you ask about. Ask any inspector to walk the roof seams and probe the walls and floor with a meter. Water damage rarely announces itself.
A written report with dated photos is the baseline. RV Pro Solutions and Premier RV list report writing, roof and chassis work, and nationwide coverage among their services. Advanced Automotive & RV and HDS Auto Care handle chassis work, which matters if the coach sits on a van or truck frame. TJs RV covers roof, moisture, generator and chassis in one visit, and Triad RV Repair does the same. Confirm in writing what the report includes before you book, especially generator hours, fluid sampling and chassis condition. A one-page checklist is not a report.
Never let the seller choose your inspector, and never hand over the balance until the report is in hand. Time the inspection for after the deposit holds the rig but before the deal is final, so you can still walk. In a state this long, providers near Concord, Wilmington or Greenville fill up first in spring, and mountain towns like Lake Lure and Hendersonville often need a mobile call. Get the quote, the inspection window and sample pages of a past report in writing.
There are 25 on the directory, with an average rating of 4.4 stars. Eleven offer mobile service and six are NRVIA certified.
Eleven of the 25 travel to the coach. That is useful for rigs parked on private land or at a storage lot away from the shop.
Roof seams and moisture readings at minimum, plus chassis, generator and fluid checks where the provider offers them. Ask for dated photos in a written report.
You want someone working for you. A seller-selected inspection can miss the soft floor or wet corner that a neutral check finds, and you only learn after the money moves.
