About J&R Auto and Truck Inc.
J&R Auto and Truck Inc. is a family-owned heavy-duty diesel shop on Long Island that also handles RV inspections. They are a certified New York State Inspection Station for cars, trucks and trailers, and they work on everything from small boat trailers up to large diesel trucks. Welding and custom fabrication are part of the lineup too. Reviewers keep coming back to the same things: honest mechanics, fair prices, and work that holds up. One customer brought a Sprinter van in after other shops failed to fix an engine misfire, and left saying the van ran great again. Another had a diesel inspection where a failing brake shoe turned up, and the shop had the part in stock and swapped it on the spot. A longtime customer mentions 15 years of on-time work and good communication. The shop is an NRVIA-listed inspection service, so you can get a rig checked over before money changes hands. The crew knows new and older vehicles alike, whether it's a passenger car or a diesel truck.
